Brooks Motion Athletic Skort (For Women)

I was wary of the running skirts when they first came out (I thought they were too girlie), but after wearing the same spandex shorts over and over again, I was ready to try something new. And I'm so happy I did! This running skirt looks great, feels great and prevents chafing. Unlike some other running skirts, the internal shorts are long enough to keep my legs from rubbing together, but they still don't show. And I feel more comfortable running errands in them after working out (Even though I'm wearing a skirt I feel strong ... and sexy). Plus there are two pockets - one for my money and one for my phone. It does run big - I got a small, but usually wear a medium. I'm not ready to wear it to a race yet, but maybe some day.

I ran a half marathon in this skirt & remained comfortable all the way through. I have two complaints: 1 the waist was a little big for the size (Medium) and 2. the shorts rode up while running. Luckily I wore the skirt for a training run so I knew on race day that I'd have to wear another pair of shorts underneath. It worked out well & I really like the skirt.

The skort is the most comfortable and useful piece of clothing I didn't realise I needed - I can hardly bear to take this one off! Luckily it washes and dries within a couple of hours, which makes it perfect for sailing or the beach. In fact, it's perfect for just about anything and unbelievably cute and flattering, even though the sizing's come up slightly too large. Going back for more and will live in them this Summer. Only wish it came in more colours.
