Review of the Browning Black Label Sliver Carbon Straight Edge.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Thursday, December 3, 2015Visually, a gorgeous looking knife, which is one of the two reasons I bought one. The etched pattern on the blade is a perfect match to the carbon fiber scales. The second reason for buying the knife is the ATS-34 steel blade. I have a Benchmade AFCK knife with an ATS-34 blade, and it is awesome. The one complaint I have is that the carbon fiber scales are not smoothed along the edges, like the Browning Turning Point Carbon knife, so it feels rough when tightly gripped.

From the gorgeous laser etched hollow ground blade faces to the high relief genuine carbon fiber scales my new model 131BL exhibits no design or build defects and does genuinely meet the standard of "tactical elegance". Details: stout polished stainless liners (not skeletonized) house the perfectly centered razor sharp swaged (not sharpened) semi spear point blade (note that the steel type is not identified on either face), impregnated bronze bushed pivot action is very smooth allowing almost effortless one hand deployment and fold return, liner lock is rock solid engaging dead center to the hub without sticking, stout polished stainless clip offers dedicated right hand tip down semi deep carry and conforms well to the index and middle fingers, G-10 back spacer provides semi open back for easier cleaning, and G-10 bolsters that could pass for satin finished fine micarta. Summary: very capable, rugged, elegant, and built by an obviously high level Taiwanese maker for hard use while looking pretty at rest. The outstanding coupon pricing from STP (and their always fair and thorough customer service) is the icing on the cake. I simply cannot find any fault or short coming...WOW!
