Verified Buyer Reviewed by Thomas The Waterfowler from Minnesnowta on Monday, November 3, 2014Don't get me wrong it is a jacket with a lot of insulation but it is still surprisingly lighter and warmer than my older drake waterfowl 4-in-1 jacket. Hand warmer pocket placement and angle are PERFECT! Seems durable as I have snagged it a couple times already with no issues. Living in Minnesota we have some of the coldest waterfowling there is and have to break ice all the way from shore to our hunting spot so warm jackets are something we know a lot about. This is the one I have been truly waiting for!
The only con I can think of is the zipper for the hood seems to come undone a little all the time. Aside form that best waterfowl jacket I have owned so far. At the price point with the 35% off coupon from Sierra Trading post you can purchase the best waterfowl jacket on the market for less than any other!
Reviewed by Adam from Michigan on Thursday, December 19, 2013I just received this jacket last week. It's been very cold and windy. This jacket is great in that weather not only do you stay warm but the wind does not cut through it and water sheds right off. Great product and shipping of this product was very good sierra trading post did a great job.
Reviewed by The Smith boys from Anchorage, Alaska on Tuesday, November 5, 2013My son and I each got one of these jackets for a waterfowl hunt a few week ago in Cold Bay, Alaska. I have been in Alaska for 30 years and traveled extensively. The weather in Cold Bay was the most extreme I have encountered with sustained wind and rain at 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. My son and I stayed bone dry for several days hunting in these conditions. As my son was also working in Cold Bay, he got to wear the jacket for several weeks beyond our hunting dates in similar conditions. We both agreed, the jacket/parka passed the extreme weather test perfectly.
