Browning Hydro-Fleece A.T. 4-in-1 Gore-Tex® Parka - Waterproof (For Big Men)

This parka is an excellent addition to my hunting equipment. The garment is well made with good attention to detail. I am pleased with the overall design. The generous pockets and shell holders are an added bonus. The only drawback is with weight, this parka is on the heavy side but that is common in this type of garment.

The shell is great, a bit on the large size, but that is okay for layering. The liner has some flaws. I do not care for elastic cuffs on the sleeves. The line is also bulky. Could have done better with a fleece or thermalite liner. I plan on using one of my old fleece jackets for a liner. The shell is great, plenty of pockets and storage.

I just got the jacket and used it to deer hunt the last day of the season in 17 degree weather. At this temperature the jacket material made more noise than I expected when I moved. Surprised to feel a little bit of wind getting through the sleeves even though the wind was mild (3-6mph). I wore a base layer of Polar-Tec expedition micro-fleece and a micro-fleece crew neck and was comfortable with the jacket in relatively cold temperature. May opt for goose down jacket insert for really cold hunts in Wisconsin. The x-change system makes that convenient. I am pleased with the quality and features of the jacket. The jacket seems to breath well. I was a little surprised with the weight, but not a major concern. Have not experienced rain or snow so I can't speak to water proof qualities, but being Gore-Tex I suspect it will work fine. I would recommend this to others looking for a versatile hunting jacket.

My old gortex, about 10 years old, worked well but it was bulky and noisy this coat is great it still has the breathability and waterproof as my old gortex but it is light weight and quiet. This coat has plenty of pockets that are expandable and magnetic. It runs a little big but it gives you ample room for movement and space for bibs ,witch are also great.
