Neck strain is greatly reduced compared to a typical camera neck strap. The camera carrying position is about belt-level, but it slides quickly and smoothly up the torso straps to eye level. Two quick-release buckles detach the camera from the harness. In a pinch the harness can be worn like a typical neck strap or slung over one shoulder. It seems sturdy, but time will tell how it will hold up. The only slight negative is that it takes some practice to figure out how to get the harness on and off quickly, but the improved comfort makes it worth it.
