I'm not sure what the other reviewers meant but I think these little guys are perfect for camping. These are great little chopsticks to throw in your pack whether you're heading up the trail or traveling across a far away country. I'm a lover of chopsticks, so these are perfect for stowing in my pack and pulling out for either a back country meal or roadside snack. Simple to use, fold up nicely. Only con is the weight. Just a little heavy for something geared toward throwing in a pack.

You have to use a choke-up chopstick-wielding style to use these, but they appear to be reasonably well constructed, and once you slide the lock into place, they are stiff enough to use. They are perhaps not what you would pull out at a restaurant (there are better Ti chopsticks available that look better and require no choking up) and I paid a bit too much for these even with discounts. But as long as the rotary joint does not fail (hard to predict but this sort of joint tends to fail if not done unusually well) these are a pretty workable and fairly lightweight casual/backcountry set of chopsticks. I'd recommend that a friend get the good ones instead, but for me this is not bad as an impulse add-on to help fill out an STP order, except for the price.
