Verified Buyer Reviewed by skeezaroonie from rural central Texas on Monday, September 1, 2014I like this multi-tool. I mostly want a blade handy but having the pliers and screwdrivers available is great. My experience with other tools has been that the knife function takes a back seat to all the other functions and this Buck X-tract gives me the primary function as a knife, with extras. In just a week or so carrying this I have put the pliers to good use a couple of times. I also like the way the blade and pliers and screwdriver tips and opener all lock in place and I have always been partial to a liner-lock design for the main blade. I guess I came late to the party since Buck has moved on to other designs in their Multi-tool line so I am ordering another to allow for the possibility (fairly high probability actually) that I will end up losing the one I carry and I like this well enough to want a spare. Oh, nice belt sheath, too.

Not a mechanics set, but the camper can make good use of it.
Bead blasted finish.
Reviewed by Mark from Utah on Wednesday, March 26, 2014This is a very cheap made tool. The pliers feels like plastic. Every part on this knife is rough, not detailed. I don't think this knife can be use practically, maybe just pick up the pot lip when camping.
