They have a normal rise--which is a bit longer than the modern tailored, Euro-trim models, but they are comfortable and modern looking. I comment on this as I had returned a pair of B&J jeans as being too long in the crotch--not a jean cut--but these are different and satisfactory. Typical B&J quality and overall a great buy especially at STP pricing.

Sierra Trading Post could eliminate many returns simply by adding 'short' or 'regular' rise to the description. That said, the quality, other than fit, is excellent.
