First, I will start by saying this is a great looking old-school vest that is plenty warm to survive the cold winters of Minnesota with only the light zip-up underneath. The zipper hand pockets are extremely functional and the sherpa collar lining adds a little extra warm. Two downsides: 1.) The vest is only a button up and I think a zipper would help increase warmth 2.) consider ordering a size up if you are between sizes. I'm 6'3" and 185 lbs. I can easily wear a large, which is what I usually side with, or an XL. In this case, I should have gone with the XL. When I wear a tight base layer, my light zip-up jacket and then the vest, the buttons appear to be bursting a little bit at the bottom 3 buttons. This would have been fixed had Burton included a zipper or by ordering a size up. However, I think the great old-school look and the added warmth outweighs the two negatives of the vest.

It's thin but surprisingly warm. The pockets have zippers for your hand and a couple pockets up top. Both buttons and zippers in the front. Good colors. I normally wear a medium and this fits but it's a little tight. I wondering if maybe I should have gotten a large.

About Burton

One name will always remain synonymous with the snowboarding movement, and that name is Burton. Back in 1978, the sport of snowboarding was virtually unknown and completely on the fringe, but Jake Burton quit his day job to make snowboards in his living room anyway. By the 1980s, Burton snowboards were helping people discover a totally new and exhilarating way to carve the snow. More than thirty years later, Burton snowboards and bindings are still leading the industry with cutting-edge technologies and killer-looking designs, as are Burton boots. On the slopes, Burton jackets and pants are made to help you beat the elements and look great doing it. Long live winter.
