The Burton Bonded Hoody is one of the best on the market. I used the first incarnation of this jacket while working on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park years ago. The jacket has only improved. It looks great, feels great, yields warmth and sheds light wind and is synthetic, so it doesn't... Read More

Great looking hoodie, chose a size medium and it fits great

This is a really nice hoodie. I like the material because it is not as absorbent as traditional hoodies. The lining makes it warm as well. Great product.

This zip up hoodie is great for those warm days on the slopes when a heavy jacket isn't needed. Fits true to size. Also has an extra pocket that zips up to keep your phone in with a seam to feed headphones through. Awesome price too!

This is a really nice product for the price you can get it at with a coupon code here. It not a lightweight fleece. It is a bit thicker than a standard hoodie, but definitely heavier. And as noted the outside is kind of shiny, but still soft, while the inside is a true brushed fleece. The pockets are nice...not too big and loose that the opening flop open, and there is one zipper pocket on the side that is also convenient for keys. The sleeves have thumb slits, which I like. But keep in mind all it is is a cuff with a slit in it...they are not shaped at all like on more dedicated climbing fleece's

I got it to wear under a puffy or other coat for even more warmth while walking my dogs, and it will do that perfectly. However, yesterday we had temps in the 40s, and I just wore this only over my long sleeve henley going to work, and it kept me pretty warm...just a very slight chill, nothing I would feel uncomfortable with. If i had been very active it would have been more than enough...possibly too much.

One of the main reasons I love it so much though is the sizing. I am 5'9", 190, with really thick thighs and hips, and a 42inch chest with my back relaxed, so I often fall just outside a medium (they are often uncomfortable when I reach forward or feel tight in the shoulder and lat area) At the same time a large is often way too big and baggie with sleeves way too long (unless I'm using a hardshell as a layer over a lot of insulation). Anyway, based on the reviews, and knowing its a snowboarding garment, I took a risk on a medium, and it fits great. I can put it on over a T-shirt and not have the T-shirt sleeves bunch up in the hoodie sleeves, and as noted I can wear it over a long sleeve shirt, but it still isn't way too large. It will go nicely under a shell or puffy. When I reach forward it's not too tight across my back either.

Overall, a great purchase. Very happy with it.

I purchased the Burton hoodie based on the reviews I read. This is for use in layering under a work coat for early spring and late fall lawn/landscape. It may be a little pricey for a work hoodie but warmth, wind resistance, and color (company uniform) overrides price. The fit is probably true to size. I had been wearing an XL which is loose on me. This is a large so it feels a little snug in comparison (not tight) and something to get use to. The sleeves are long due to thumbholes so an XL in this product would probably be too long for me. The material does have a bit of stretchiness so bending and twisting should not feel confining.

    • No inside pockets. More of a sweatshirt than a coat. There are the two front pockets and one zippered pocket on the side for phone/ipod.

    • There are none on the inside, however, there is one on the right hand side by the hip area. It is used to store phones or ipods because there is a passthrough hole for headphones and audio cables.

About Burton

One name will always remain synonymous with the snowboarding movement, and that name is Burton. Back in 1978, the sport of snowboarding was virtually unknown and completely on the fringe, but Jake Burton quit his day job to make snowboards in his living room anyway. By the 1980s, Burton snowboards were helping people discover a totally new and exhilarating way to carve the snow. More than thirty years later, Burton snowboards and bindings are still leading the industry with cutting-edge technologies and killer-looking designs, as are Burton boots. On the slopes, Burton jackets and pants are made to help you beat the elements and look great doing it. Long live winter.
