Burton Cherish Fine-Wale Corduroy Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

It's still warm here, so I haven't worn this for real yet, but it's absolutely beautiful. Technically it seems like a ski jacket, but stylish enough to wear as winter City wear, which is what I got it for. It has lots of hidden pockets compartments and looks super well-made. The fabric looks like a fine wale corduroy, but is made out of a high quality unusual synthetic and they claim it's machine washable. The white is very elegant. It's heavy and seems like it will be very warm. Can't wait for winter.

I love the jacket other than the sleeves. They are way too long. I'm going to have them altered.

I have long arms and was looking for a jacket with long arms--well this jacket has Really long arms and the upper chest/shoulder space is really roomy. It's a cute jacket but it just did not fit me right. I had to send it back. I did not ask for an exchange because the hip area felt like a down size would be snug with the skirt. One person wrote that they cut out the skirt. This would work if one did not want to use it for skiing.

Using this for long walks in windy Atlantic Coast freezing rain snow and sleet conditions, winter boatyard work - very airtight, great with layers, perfect length. There's an interior binding elastic layer in the hip area, for a snugger fit, that I cut out - it was way too constricting. I bought the milk chocolate and it looks great with everything casual. Nice big hood with lots of lower face/throat protection. Would have liked angled side pockets rather than the front loaders, and yes, the sleeves are a tad overlong. Overall thought I quite like the coat for the price.

This isn't your typical ski jacket - that's why I bought it. Can't see it being warm enough for the real cold Chicago winters - but maybe I'l wrong. Jacket runs a little big but that's how I wanted it. Plan to wear it to work over sweaters and blazers. Think it is stylish. Did see in the store [...] for a couple of dollars cheaper, but I didn't pay tax. Bought the brown, saw the white in the store. Both are cute, but I have some large dogs that would love to leave their mark on an off white jacket - if you know what I mean. Overall - happy with my purchase.

Great quality jacket in super-soft fabric with all the extras you expect from a Burton jacket; clips to pants, goggle pocket, etc. Keep in mind that this line of jackets is intentionally oversized for the 'relaxed look'. If you are looking for a tighter, more fashionable fit, then this isn't the jacket for you. I normally wear a small, and I ordered an extra-small, which is still very roomy. Other than that I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
