Burton Cherish Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

This versatile Burton jacket morphs from urban wear to snow fun easilly. Fabric is fabulous, laughs at wind and wet. My one grip is the cut is extra hugenormous. Most Burton prducts run so small I worried about even getting my normal small size. Not so with the cherish, if I could have gone extra small I would have. Arms are quite long, body is long and large, no possiblity of a waist in this thing ladies. Performance and features are worth the tradeoff for me, but definately something worth considering!

I was looking for a winter jacket that is cute enough for around town, warm enough for winter commutes (long walk & wait out side for a metro - non aerobic) & practical / engineered for skiing &/or outdoor activity. This isn't it for me. It is a cute jacket, but was tight around my hips and a bit big around the shoulders and sleeves. The lower outside pockets also felt awkward, possibly/ probably because it just didn't fit well around my hips.

Looks more like a casual jacket than a snowboarding jacket. Runs very large for a Burton product, which typically run a size small.

I bought this to wear in the winter in DC. I was looking for a stylish jacket, that was not too bulky,but that was also functional (kept me warm and dry). I LOVE the way the jacket looks, so far, it's been pretty waterproof (water just beads right up). I've yet to test it against harsh cold, but in about 40 deg. weather I was comfortable. OH, and a major bonus, I am 6' tall and it was plenty long in the sleeves and waist! I was only disappointed in two things: 1) it said it came with a scarf and it didn't, and 2) it said that it had a teddybear lining, which I was assuming was fleecy and soft, but instead it was satin. Even though it's not what I was expecting, I actually really love the satin lining, makes for easy on and off in bulky layers. Let's hope it keeps me warm!
