5.0 out of 5 stars. Happy With These

I was looking for a pair of boots with a quick lacing system and thought these were cute. Tried on some boots at stores and seemed to fit in a 7.5. I typically wear a 7.5 in normal shoes, often even a 7, but I tried on a couple other Burton boots with my snowboard socks on and 8 seemed to be the way to go. I'm glad I did cause 7.5 *never* would have fit by a long shot. The size 8 is quite fitted and is almost very slightly tighter than I'd like, but only to the point where I feel once they're broken in they'll be great. I was in them all day today and my feet were comfortable for the most part and my toes weren't numb or pinched when I took them off, just need to wear them for a couple days. Otherwise, they were very very comfy; I didn't use toe warmers and my feet were warm even when the rest of me got cold later in the day after a long break in the lodge / the sun going down / the wind whipping up, etc. Sometimes I feel snowboard boots have a little too much "support" on either side of the ankle and it feels very strange, but these had just the right amount- I could feel that it was there but not in a stiff/uncomfortable/distracting way. They were super easy to lace and ride in and I am very happy with my purchase. I am a bit of an amateur rider, if that makes a difference to readers and in case you didn't see up there, I would recommend sizing up a half size from your normal shoe size--I had emailed Burton for a rec on whether to do that and they said stick with your normal shoe size. Luckily, they responded days later after I had purchased and Sierra didn't have my shoe size, so I dodged that bullet.

I had been riding in Burton Lodi boots half size smaller that my normal shoe size. Having a higher instep my toes would fall asleep in 20 minutes.
These boots are a dream. The dual lacing system lets me keep the instep area looser and the ankles nice and tight. Very warm as well. Rode in them yesterday and didn't want to take them off.

About Burton

One name will always remain synonymous with the snowboarding movement, and that name is Burton. Back in 1978, the sport of snowboarding was virtually unknown and completely on the fringe, but Jake Burton quit his day job to make snowboards in his living room anyway. By the 1980s, Burton snowboards were helping people discover a totally new and exhilarating way to carve the snow. More than thirty years later, Burton snowboards and bindings are still leading the industry with cutting-edge technologies and killer-looking designs, as are Burton boots. On the slopes, Burton jackets and pants are made to help you beat the elements and look great doing it. Long live winter.
