These Bindings are incredible! they work really well for me, I am a beginner snowboarder, they work really for what i need them for and the amount of stress i put them through. I am also on the heavier side so with that said they endure a whole lot of stress on the slopes.

Love these bindings and got a great deal on them here. The reflex tech gives you a lot of control over your board!
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great or beginners or Weekend Warriors!

I'm getting back into boarding after some time off due to a gnarly spill on a longboard. I picked these up because of the bargain price and, they're made by Burton, so it should be good stuff.

Good: These are well built and easy to install. The footbed and gas pedal are extra squishy with adjustment options. They did need to be tightened up after a few runs, but I expected that. The ratchets hold well. Plus, the color is great and they're made of strong materials.

Bad: After a few days of getting back on the board, I started to dislike the high backs. I grew in confidence and needed more of a range of motion than the backs provide. Plus, the back are so high, it messes with the range of heelside.

These would be great for someone new to the sport and they are true to size- I wear a men's 11 shoes, the large fit perfectly. I'm not certain they would hold up to hard backcountry riding, but I'll get some different ones for that.

Bottom Line: If you're starting out, or an old timer looking to float some gnar, and just want some quality bindings are a decent price that will work with a range of boots, these are the ones for you.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. The cobalt bindings are 2014 Model Year
Reviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Thursday, January 8, 2015
For anyone curious which model year these are right now...these are 2014's that they are selling in cobalt blue. They come with mounting for every system available: 3D, ICS, 4x4 (which is compatible with 2x4 as well...). These went on a 2014 Burton Clash...I can definitely see how the ESTs are more convenient for adjustment, but these wouldn't take that much effort to adjust either in all reality. The part that "clicks" you in are all metal, not plastic like the description may drive you to think.

About Burton

One name will always remain synonymous with the snowboarding movement, and that name is Burton. Back in 1978, the sport of snowboarding was virtually unknown and completely on the fringe, but Jake Burton quit his day job to make snowboards in his living room anyway. By the 1980s, Burton snowboards were helping people discover a totally new and exhilarating way to carve the snow. More than thirty years later, Burton snowboards and bindings are still leading the industry with cutting-edge technologies and killer-looking designs, as are Burton boots. On the slopes, Burton jackets and pants are made to help you beat the elements and look great doing it. Long live winter.
