Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kirill from Minsk, Belarus on Friday, August 28, 2015This is warm jacket, I repeat, a very warm jacket.
Just take it in your hands - and you will realize that it is heavy and warm!
I bought it for $ 70 - at this price and this quality you will not find anywhere else.
Reviewed by Rabbi from Ohio on Wednesday, January 14, 2015This jacket is not as represented; size L (large), fits very tight—like a medium. There is nothing in the description of this jacket that says it runs small. In fact, one of the‘reviews’ says it “fits true” and even “has enough room for extra layers underneath”. Absolutely WRONG! I must now return it.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by JS from DC on Friday, December 5, 2014Very warm. Fits true. Great color. I purchased the Piperline/Keef. The Keef looks grey on screen but the actual color is green. I haven't used the jacket on the mountain yet but I can tell... with just a heavy base layer I will be fine. I purchased the Medium. I am 5' 8". It has enough room for extra layers underneath which is great for the really cold days but still fits well and is very warm.
Reviewed by snowboardrider from New York on Friday, November 7, 2014This jacket feels very warm, I haven't had the chance to test it out yet, but I'm sure it won't disappoint. It's also relatively light.
I think everyone looking at this jacket should be aware that it is made out of 100% recycled Mountain Dew bottles. It's enviro. friendly, yes, but I think it detracts from the construction quality: all of the zippers, although YKK, are made of plastic, so I don't know how long they'll last heavy jerking. I guess that's the main issue with regards to the build quality--that there are no metal components.
Another thing I found was that the Lycra handguards feel a bit tight; for reference, my hands measure about 3-5/8 inches from above the thumb to below the pinkey when splayed out. Another thing to note is that the breast pocket reaches outward, and not towards the zipper. There is also another, smaller pocket within the media pocket, on the inside left of the jacket.
One last issue that I found is a pet peeve of mine, which is that the hand pockets at the base of the jacket have this polyester material inside them that grabs at your hands when you put them inside, giving you the feeling that you have a bunch of dead skin strips hanging off your hands. That's the best description I can give.
Otherwise, this jacket is really cool--the color looks awesome, and the hood just encloses your face perfectly. It also has massive pit zips to provide a ton of ventilation. The hand pockets seem roomy enough to store a beanie cap, or maybe even squish your gloves into. They have zippers for closure.
In regards to fit, I'm about 5'10" and 165lbs. and the medium fits like a glove.
