It isn't quite as thick as I expected but keeps you warm. I would recommend this coat and if you are confused about what size to order, definitely go by the sizing that they recommend. I usually wear a medium coat (8-10) but the sizing for burton says a large is a (8-10) and I ordered a large and it fits just like a medium would. Love it!

Reviewed by Hip Mom from Oregon on Thursday, March 10, 2011I purchased this jacket for my 16 year old daughter. Loves it! The slender cut is very flattering. She wore it boarding at Mt. Bachelor (Oregon), she was so warm she had to remove some other layers. It was snowing as well but she remained dry. The yellow is a bright sunshiny color. There is a subtle plaidish weave that breaks up the monotony of a solid color.
