Closeouts. The Poacher jacket from Burton provides the warmth and weather resistance riders need at an exceptional value. It features low-bulk Thermacore insulation beneath a DRYRIDE waterproof breathable Durashell.

There are few items about this jacket I don't like and I believe the reason it is a closeout. The first is the inner pocket will not fit most devices people call phones these days. I am still 2 years behind so my phone fits perfectly, but the Velcro for the pocket is so stiff and strong getting to the phone can be a struggle. The other item is the hood adjustment is in the back above the neck area close to the bottom of the skull; which is hard to reach and adjust in the rain and wind. I realize this is a snowboarder's coat and all the items I am concerned about are not applicable. Great coat for when a cold day gets sunny and warmer, there is little bulk and the underarm breathing outlets offer great relief. I could not even find a price close to this one at any website. This was a steal. There is a new version with an outer pocket, but for $100 less, I can look a bit goofy tugging on the Velcro to get to my phone.
