Bushnell Night Watch Night Vision Monocular - 3x32

This is not a night vision monocular, it's more like a Infra-Red monocular. Without IR lighting it does not work. It also has a very narrow viewing area. You cannot see a big area and must constantly refocus the device when moving it from one area to another. However, it works very well with the IR beam projected from the device. I used it in a cave with absolutely no light and could see everything I pointed the device at. If you are after a proper night sight piece, this is not it. I served in the Army and used proper night sight equipment before and this is nothing like that. However, if you are looking for something to have a look at what's going on in your backyard at night or maybe while camping, what's lurking in the dark, it will serve you well. Hope this helps.

C'mon guys, make it easy for the customer. This thing does not come with the two rechargeable batteries required for operation. The product description on the website must have stated this somewhere, but I missed it. So, although the packaging looks like everything's included, you open it up, get ready to roll and find out you need to buy the batteries -- which of course are specialty batts, not at your local CVS or Rite Aid. Yes, my fault. But most consumer products these days seem to come 'complete'. Kind of sneaky, and annoying, for this one to come half-baked.
