    Pros:
    Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
    Cons:
    Heavy
    Best Uses:
    Astronomy, Low Visibility, Marine, Stationary
    Describe Yourself:
    Avid Adventurer
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Pair arrived with problems including compass mechanism not visible or not working. Nor was the internal light mechanism working. This binocular design is constant focus over 20 feet or so. This is a beefy and somewhat heavy pair of binoculars. The website may not mention it but these look like something from the army surplus store - thick armor and a drab olive green color.

The tactical binoculars are bright and easy to focus. Used it on my sailboat (we beat it up pretty good) during the day and night, was surprised how well I could see under low-light conditions. I haven't dropped it in the water yet, so don't know how waterproof it is (and don't know if it'll float) but it has been excellent so far. Only downside is that its somewhat heavy (expected due to its heavy-duty construction).
