    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a very solid, well built knife. The blade lock-up is tight so one does not have to worry about it closing while working with the knife. The combo edge is nice, with the plain edge being sharp but it took a very nice touch-up to become razor sharp. I am using the blade primarrily as a grafting knife and after cutting many pieces of wood down with it, the blade is still very keen. Nice weight/heft which is important for a knife of this size. Pocket clip is servicable and does not get in the way when using the knife. I would surely recomend this knife to anyone needing a knife like this!

Great value for the money. After getting one I ordered two more. A lot of knife for the money and if I loose it I am not out 100 bucks like comparable knives

These are usually great knives...but this one was defective and wouldn't close completely. Our family owns 2 other Spyderco's and they're great...guess we just got lucky(?) here!

Great knife. I bought one and found the quality to be top shelf.Easy to sharpen and holds an edge. I have some knives I paid over $100.00 for. This knife does all they do and if I loose it I am out[...]. Liked it so much I ordered 2 more.I was initially hesitant due to being made in China, but the quality is great

Nice product for the price. Not as nice as an actual Spyderco though (Byrd knives are "made" by Spyderco.)

I liked this knife so much that I purchased four of them. I use them primarily to open packages as they are the perfect tool for that--it is super sharp . I carry one in my car for emergency purposes. And I use it as a woodworking tool. Rather than use a pencil for mark cut lines, I use this knife to mark a finer cut line.
