Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile
Best Uses:
Backcountry Camping, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival, Utility
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
High quality craftmanship. The blade metal is new, but I found it favorably reviewed in a Benchmade review, and compared to 440b or 440c alloy. I perfer the plain edge for cutting construction materials, plastic sheeting, insulation, ect.

This knife is designed by Spyderco but manufactured by a Chinese company. Not the quality expected by Spyderco.... very cheap knife. If you just want a cool looking pocket knife for occasional use it will fit the bill.

I needed a small, low-priced knife for canoeing and kayaking. Too easy to lose an expensive knife out there.
I recently had a situation, where I hit a log sidelong with my kayak, and dumped.
My paddle leash got wrapped around the log (thankfully, not my body), in rushing water.
I could have used a quick, one-handed opening, combo edged knife to cut the leash. Instead, I had to break the paddle down to two pieces, in order to free my kayak. I ended up losing half of my eighty dollar paddle to the river!
