The knife is larger than I thought it would be, but due to its very flat profile it is easy to carry in a pocket, purse, briefcase etc. Blade shape is perfect for opening boxes, packages, envelopes and other everyday uses. Knife does not have any type of clip.

I was looking for a unique item to give as a gift to male friends. The Byrd knife is a great little blade especially given the cost of under $20.00. I bought several. I liked it so well I kept one for myself.

Great deal on a great knife. I bought 4 different Byrds on sale and have been stunned by the level of quality at this price point. I simply did not believe that you could get knives this good for such a low price. Sometimes you get more than you pay for (usually its from Sierra Trading Post). The Flatbyrd is not intended to be an e everyday use knife, it is a good emergency knife that is very flat and can be easily stored in a glove compartment or camera bag pocket. It works very well in it this capacity.

a Byrd (subsidiary of Spyderco) make of the Spyderco Spydercard. Since the spydercard is now discontinued, this is your only chance to get a similar knife while you can. Great for a deep discreet carry in your wallet. Great quality from Byrd as always.

it's hard to find compact and useful in the same package. unfortunately, this isn't it. If you are a collector, it makes an interesting ornamental, but I see little practical use for this blade.

I expected a lot, and Spyderco delivered! Bang for the buck, one of the best buys I have ever encountered. Knife is extremely flat, extremely light for an all-steel knife.
