    Waist size 40-42 was XL and enormous. My husband has a 40 waist. Because I liked the fabric, design, etc., I washed them in very hot water to shrink them. They did not shrink. We're giving them to a tall relative in the hope that they will fit him. With the current waist he may need suspenders!

    Ordered my usual size, medium (I'm 5' 10", 155 lbs) and these were too big. I suggest ordering down a size. Returned. Would like to see a drawstring also. The elastic is going to give out sooner than the pajamas are ready to retire.

    I've been buying Calida pajamas from Sierra Trading Post for years. Even with the discount, they still are a little pricey for me, but they're well worth it - and they last for years even with frequent washing. I used to buy the "ski" type, with knit gathering at the wrists and ankles, but can't seem to find them any more. These are just as nice without the "ski" features. Don't know who would go out skiing in pajamas anyway. You won't regret buying these.
