    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I am a 5.8 slim female and this pj feels a bit too big on the top. The bottoms are fine, maybe a bit long but still comfortable while the top is not only big but long as well. I have 2 other pajamas from Calida that I actually bought in Switzerland. They are true to size. I will keep this one due the expensive shipping and returns (I have lost already way too much in Sierratradingpost. shipping costs are just very expensive).

    These pajamas are very soft cotton. I wouldn't describe them as "heavy" cotton but not at all thin - just right. I have washed them and they wash up nicely - no wrinkles or shrinking. The pants are just the right length (I am 5'5") and the sleeves' length cover my wrists. High quality workmanship.
