Most Helpful 4-Star Review
Reviewed by Newbe Hiker from New York NY on Friday, June 6, 2014I am petite 5'5" and gain a lot of weight on top and bottom, so I ordered large, and was worried it would not fit me on the hips, because historically my fitting problems are there. Yet, it did fit my bottom very well. Surprisingly the top was not even possible to zip without hurting me. If your bra size is an A or a B, and you are carrying weight on the bottom only, and you wear a petite cut, than it might work, otherwise you might have to return, as do I. Too bad, because I really like the product. I give it 4 stars for strange sizing.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by The Petite Pear from Wash DC on Wednesday, May 7, 2014I'm 60" tall and about 117 pounds, small-busted and pear-shaped (bust 35", hips 39"), and I got this in the Small size. I agree with other reviewers that the chest on this suit is tight and the rump is roomy. It's a great fit for me (though I would not want the chest any tighter than it is). If you are busty with small hips or butt, this might not be the best for you.
Wore this for whitewater rafting with water temps about 50 degrees F and air temps also in the 50s, and this was perfect for keeping comfortably warm. I will be getting a lot more use out of this, it was a great purchase for me!
Reviewed by FairGame from Florida on Thursday, April 17, 2014I agree with another reviewer. This suit is oddly cut. It fits a bit baggy in the hips and legs (I can tolerate a bit of looseness). However, it is tight across the chest and upper back. I am a small person 5' 5" and I weigh 118 pounds - so I am not trying to squeeze myself into this size medium suit. I will be returning it because I really need to breathe!
Reviewed by Angela from Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday, November 20, 2013This wetsuit has great features with the grippy knees and seat. There is plenty of room around the armholes for moving without chafing. The only problem is that it is tight around the chest. Before ordering I tried on a different style in the same brand and size belonging to a friend and it fitted well, which gave me the confidence to order this one on line. I also looked at the fit chart which confirmed my decision. Comparing them on the hanger showed that mine is actually smaller across the chest. Measuring at the widest point gave me a measurement of 26" and there is not much shaping in it. My friend's measures 30". It fits everywhere else and I'm short so a bigger size would be too long. Sadly, I'll probably have to return it because I do need to be able to breath.
Reviewed by sallykayak from foothills of the Adirondacks on Monday, September 30, 2013never having tried on a wetsuit before, I was hesitant to buy one on-line. I wear size small (6) in everything but I'm a little shorter than the height range and a little heavier than the weight range for the size small, but happily it fits very well. I have not used it yet, but soon it will be time to take the docks out of our lake and it (and the neoprene booties I also bought from STP) will get a workout. It may even get to go kayaking before then. I can't give it 5 stars just because I don't know yet how warm it will keep me or how durable it is (nor do I have anything to compare it to).
