it is a great buy especially for the clearance price. i used it 3-4 times for snorkeling in the 70F water and felt very very comfortable. and it felt very flexible when I swam.
two minor complaints:
1. i am 5'3 and I got the xs. the fit is a bit awkward, very tight on my neck, a bit loose on my arms, but perfect on legs. maybe it's just me.
2. it seems a bit flimsy. after 3 uses, one piece of tag came off from the inside stitch, but it didn't appear to matter. I hope it will last longer.

I used this suit to complete a 1/2 mile swim in the Hudson River in early June. The suit fit well, kept me warm and provided overall comfort to a skeptical first time triathlete. I believe I got a great value at a bargain price.

Fits fairly well on my 5'8" frame and I weigh 130lbs. A bit big in the armpit area. No chafing at the neck. Overall decent fit, but have seen better suits with more flexible shoulder areas. Had no problems in spint-distance triathlons, but for longer distances in open water might consider a more flexible suit.

i sent it back without use because compared to the orca suit i tried on this one felt weak at the seams and like the neoprene was flimsy. the medium fit me fine at 5'7" 145lbs but there was an air pocket left around my low back - but that may just be my shape.

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Bought to complete my PADI cert class and found it too warm for indoor pool use, but great for warm open water use. Fairly flexible thanks to the 4/2 design. Very snug, and almost a semi-dry suit. Only real con is that after only 3 uses, I snagged my ring on it and got a "run" and somehow took a small chunk out. So, not terribly durable. For the discount price [$] it was still a good buy. For a longer-term investment, get one with a more rugged outer layer.
