5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome Camelbak

I purchased the green version which looks black in the pictures. It's is exactly what I needed. I have used it on one snowboarding trip (5 days). It has plenty of water for the entire day. It has the right amount of storage. Enough to keep an extra thin layer, snacks and a few supplies. I wouldn't put much more... It would become bulky on the chairlifts and make you sit sideways. One downside... It doesn't have a clip ( at least I haven't seen one) to hold the "straw down". I attached a retractable ID badge clip so it sits on the side. Great fix for an on the go bag.

Overall, I highly recommend!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great small CamelBak

Of all the CamelBaks, this has to be the best one. Not too small, with enough space for all the little things you need to carry with you, but also not too big for skiing, biking, hiking, etc. Unlike the smaller ones, it has proper straps, and unlike the bigger ones, it's not a bag with an hydration pack, but a hydration pack with a bit of extra space. Two extra pluses: it looks great and the tube is insulated.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Amazing

I got this as an all around small pack and hydration system and am very happy with it. I use it for concerts and outdoor activities such as hiking and snow shoeing. It is a little difficult to fill up quickly on the go, like at a concert or public water station but the pack holds a lot and it is very comfortable

This camel pack had room for the essentials to take on a long bike ride. The water stayed cold for the entire day! Well constructed and thought out for all those items you need.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Nicely made but heavy and small bladder
Reviewed by Colin from Oregon on Friday, May 30, 2014
This is more of a pack for shuttle DH or guys that will only ride up short climbs to ride DH than it is for typical trail riding or All Mountain rides (or "Enduro" for the kids lol). Has the smaller 70oz bladder and it's fairly heavy as it's made to carry a bunch of body armor, has a goggle pouch and even holds a full faced helmet. Great for that but could have used a bit more side padding on the "wings" of the waist strap to help hold it in place better (not a ton more as I don't like that but just a bit more). Also could have used a bit more internal organization inside though it's adequate.

About CamelBak

The story behind CamelBak hydration packs started back in 1988 when a guy named Michael Eidson was preparing for the “Hotter’N Hell 100,” a 100-mile summer cycling race in Wichita Falls. Before the event, Michael (an EMT by trade) filled an IV bag with water and stashed it in the back of his jersey. With the tube slung over his shoulder and a clothespin to pinch it closed in between drinks, Michael had unknowingly created the prototype for what would become the CamelBak hydration system. Fast forward more than 25 years, and CamelBak is now the world’s leading hydration pack company, with more than 80 different products, including reservoirs, backpacks, hip packs, CamelBak water bottles, travel mugs and more.
