Got first one at great discount; ordered two more next sale when first one went missing...Son uses these to keep water on hand while working. He likes them, doesn't mind having to remove cover - simpler design, less to go wrong than bottles with straw system (harder to clean).
Pros: Good Capacity, Impact Resistant, Slim Design
I do not recommend it, it is not insulated and is plastic.

According to their website, the Better Bottle by Camelbak, which is like this bottle except that has a collapsible straw, can be used for any liquids, they just don't recommend extremely hot liquids. It can be cleaned in the dishwashing on the top shelf. So it's pretty durable. I'd test it with slightly hot water and work my way up. Good luck!

Yes these water bottles can withstand hot liquids (like boiling water). CamelBak recommends that the water bottle not be boiled itself though ;-)
