I took it on a 10 mile hike at the Grand Canyon the first time I used it. It was comfortable, held everything I needed and everything worked great. The only reason why I took off two stars is because it was raining on the hike and I had on a white ski jacket and the colors from the backpack bled on to my jacket so now my white ski jacket has a faint red and black stain on it. So if you have a black jacket this is a great backpack otherwise I would keep it away from light colors especially in the rain.
