This pack is great for excursions of about an hour like running, cycling or hiking. It is a very comfortable pack but the bladder only holds 45 ounces which limits your activity. The clip on the water tube is very handy and keeps the mouthpiece close by.

I usually go bike riding 3-4 times a week and around 8 miles each trip. This worked great for me because the front pocket is great to put money, phone, ID's in and the back pocket it where the water goes. The water stays nice and cold which is nice because I live in 100 degree weather. The pack is a little bulky but overall I am glad I got it. I did like this one better then the traditional back pack water system, because it's easier to access to while I'm riding my bike and I don't have to worry about weird tan lines.

The only con is the bladder size but it can carry more than the typical water bottle. If I need more water I just carry my Camelbak Mule NV. It is great if you are out for less than 2 hours. I put a few ice cubes in it and keeps it cool for the trip. With the bladder you can take out all of the air and do not have sloshing of water if you had a water bottle. I like how it has 2 pockets so you can separate your goods away from the bladder. The outside pocket has great organization options. Other than working out with it, I plan to take it to amusement parks and other events where I do not need to carry much but want water.

this is exactly what it says online and I am not disappointed. I only wish it had an extra clip for the long hose to clip on to my jacket. Good product for the money.

Item looks a bit bulky but I guess you're prepared for the extra load when you're carrying 1.3L

Haven't used it yet, but it seems very small, I'm unable to fill it completely full, and there's nowhere to carry refill bottles. Will be very difficult to use during camp-based hiking outings because of the awkwardness of filling. But the hose is plenty long enough; the bitevalve seems to work well, and the waistbelt seems to work. No instructions for cleaning and maintenance, and nothing saying what the bladder is made of. Ask me again after the summer season.

This is small and good for a short trip where you only want water, maybe a snack and a windbreaker in a pouch. I carry a camera and there is a little accessible side pouch that it fit in that was hany.

This pack might be ok if you're only going to walk. I recently bought the camelback alterra, and I like it very much. I thought this one, since it holds a little more water, might be better for long runs (over 10 miles). It is absolutely the most unstable water system I have ever worn. Way worse than any bottle sytem I have had. Its basically a bag of water haning from a rope. The straps that are used to cinch down the pack will tighten and it will feel secure and then you will run like 20 yards and they will be loose again. I tried tying them and that did not work, I adjusted them every way I could think of and nothing worked. There needs to be some kind of secondary clamping system that keep the straps cinched down after you tighten them. It's hard to believe that anyone who tested this product actually ran in it.

I use this pack when I take the dogs hiking or just go for a long walk. The pack is comfortable and water is more accessable than using a bottle. There is enough storage space to keep my MP3 player, bars and other items. The larger storage area (bigger than the waist pack I had been using) was one of the things that made me look at this pack in the first place. The only negative is that there should be an external clip to keep the bite valave near your shoulder. There are two clips on the belt of the waist pack but it means storing the hose at your waist. This will be a problem for me in the winter with more layers on so I will be looing for an external clip to purchase.
