I purchased this product for its low profile. It keeps the wind resistance to a minimum while biking, allows for unrestricted arm movement, and fits close enough to wear under a coat for winter excursions. Plus the front pockets are very convenient.

I was looking for a hydration pack to use for SUP paddling. This one was marketed to the paddling community so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a quality product with plenty of adjustments to get the fit right. I'm not a fan of the new bayonet style bladder closure but that's what they sell now so I substituted an old screw top bladder instead. It would also have been nice if they had included a retainer clip for the hose instead of forcing me to go shopping for a silly $2.00 part. There are a couple of small pockets on the front for small items and a little emergency whistle which is nice. There is a paddle retainer loop as well although i can't see how you could use it without your paddle flopping around, especially when paddling in the ocean as I do. Overall I'm happy with this pack, especially having got it for such a good price.

For longest time I used to put water bottles on my board since I have bungee on it. I found sometime when I ride on strong windy at lake my bottles gets wet and feels that I have some stuff on it that may get sick. Also I have to stop paddling too so I got picked this up. Work well and I don't fee any weight that restrict and also does not effect my paddle. I used to use camel bak with my Mountain biking long time go but hated(heavy and kills my shoulder) but this time with water sport this has been working well

Easy to clean bag and with all the vent in the back you still get some sweat buildup but was not bad as I thought.

About CamelBak

The story behind CamelBak hydration packs started back in 1988 when a guy named Michael Eidson was preparing for the “Hotter’N Hell 100,” a 100-mile summer cycling race in Wichita Falls. Before the event, Michael (an EMT by trade) filled an IV bag with water and stashed it in the back of his jersey. With the tube slung over his shoulder and a clothespin to pinch it closed in between drinks, Michael had unknowingly created the prototype for what would become the CamelBak hydration system. Fast forward more than 25 years, and CamelBak is now the world’s leading hydration pack company, with more than 80 different products, including reservoirs, backpacks, hip packs, CamelBak water bottles, travel mugs and more.
