I took this as my day pack for a climb up Kilimanjaro, where the temperatures are below freezing for 6-7 hours on summit night. The insulated reservoir and tube prevented freezing so I could continuing hydrating (if only I wasn't so exhausted... ). Pack also features lots of easily accessible pockets. A couple of disadvantages (if you can call them that): 1) on my 32 inch waist, there was enough extra webbing on the waist strap to go around twice, which was slightly annoying. 2) the purple dye used in the back stained my pants.

Looking forward to trying this pack out x-country skiing this winter.

Looks like I'll be able to get those extra shirts, gloves and what-evers in my pack now. This beauty has lots of space and the very lightweight frame helps keep it distributed where you planned to have it, rather than having everything in the bottom of the pack in one lump. Didn't think I'd like the color, but it looks better to me than it did in the pictures. Another winner from CamelBak.
