the hip pack is good but the bottles that come with are cheap. So if you need a hip belt the will store your good bottles and accessories then go for it.

I was somewhat hesitant to buy this product because I read other reviews that said the bottles did not stay firmly in the pouches, which would indeed be a problem when running. I have not experienced any problem with the bottles slipping out of the pouches at all during any of several 3-5 mile runs. Since I am not used to running with a fuel belt, it did take some getting used to, and felt fairly bulky at first. I had to cinch the waist fairly tight to make it feel like the belt was not flopping around due to the extra weight when the bottles were in the pouches. However, the belt is very comfortable and there was no problem with pinching or chafing. It works fine with either one or both bottles, if you want to carry less water for a shorter run, it feels just as stable and balanced with one bottle as it does with two. I also like the bite valve/straw system in the bottles so you don't have to worry about getting a face full of water while running. The bottles are fully dishwasher safe and seem to be well constructed. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would definitley recommend it.

I use this hiking. It is comfortable, the pocket in front is great for a camera or cell phone for easy reach. The pocket in the back holds quite a lot - power bar, band aids, small sunscreen. The water bottles are very nice quality and don't leak. The positioning of the bottles are at an angle so you can run with this on with no problem. I love this pack and highly recommend it!

I use it for long running (ex. the Pikes peak marathon). One bottle with highly concentrated sportsdrink and one bottle for making sportsdrink (water + concentrated sportsdrink). That way I'm sure I allways get a sportsdrink I'm used to drink..
