Pack too big for a day hike. I did not like the skull on the Camelback logo. I don't think their logo usually contains a skull. For this specific pack- grey stripes on white- would get too dirty for hiking. The chest belt was at the wrong place so you couldn't use it comfortably. It is a nice pack with tons of features, but I wasn't happy with it but might be fine for someone else.

"Integrated water bottle?" Try "ordinary plastic water bottle" attached with a plastic tie. THIS IS NOT A WATER-SIPPING SYSTEM. Don't get ripped off and buy this thinking you are getting a hydration day pack. Also, logo on front features a skull -- not very girly -- this is not evident in photo of product on website.

I have a combo business/ pleasure trip to several areas of Europe coming up with a lot of walking between stations. I will be traveling with a suit case and needed a back pack with a minimal profile, enough capacity and support to carry extra stuff and make it easy to move around. This pack had it all, in addition, to a minimally padded lap top sleeve. Also, love the integrated Camelbak bottle and hydration system.

This is an excellent quality pack. It really fits my needs to a T ! You also need to understand that I am of slight build at 5'6" and weight in at about 150#. It has one peculiar feature and that is the "front/outside" pocket does not have a flap over it and that same pocket has mesh on the sides. Soo... if you are planning to pack it to the hilt,at about 30#, you need to keep in mind the weather, ie: its not a rainy weather pack. I am not a red, blue, yellow, orange or camo for that matter type of person. The color is what caught my attention to this pack and was a determining factor in my finally purchasing it. It is quality construction so if what I have shared here fits you needs, then go for it ! You will not regret the purchase.

Good pack with hydration reservoir and outlet, add your own reservoir to make it a hydration pack. Quite a bit heavier than I expected, probably because this is geared toward the city commute/work uses than outdoors. Still would work as long as your workplace has no problem with the tame skull logo on the pack. (like mine)

I got this for my husband for an upcoming trip he was taking. He hates having a bulky backpack that doesn't adjust. Well, this pak adjusts in a number of ways. It has 4 compression straps to minimize the bulk of the pak. They are adjustable with velcro, which I've never seen before. He was pleased with it- I will find out how it held up once he's home from his trip - he will definitely put it through the paces while he's gone.

Initial Impressions... I picked this up for business travel. I'm always glad to depart from 'corporate black' so the color was a non-issue. In the picture, it looked like the pocket storage would be better. After laying hands on it, the pocket storage left a little to be desired. I would consider Ogio bags to have one of the best pocket/storage solutions and perhaps a little over done. The Camelbak is on the opposite end of the spectrum. I've seen a few Camelbak's in my travels, and always like their style. And I do like the looks of this bag. Because of the capacity of the Ogio I had, I tended to carry too much stuff, so the Camelbak offered me a chance to get a little more minimalist. I just didn't want to go quite that far. There is a front pocket that has mesh on the sides. It is there to carry a bicycle type helmet. However, for the traveler, it is a perfect place to put books or magazines. Easy access and outside of the main compartment. The bag appears to be very well constructed. I've had repeated problems with Timbuk2 backpacks where the top of the shoulder strap starts separating from the bag. Camelbak's solution appears to be better. So, I'll give it a go to see how it does. If you are looking for a backpack for business travel, don't get your hopes up if you are looking for anything other than a minimalist bag. I carry two laptops when I travel, and the main compartment has a built in padded sleeve where I will put one and there is room to slip another in there with a separate sleeve that you provide.

Works well for day hikes. Carries food, rainwear, light tools easily. Straps twist when putting on over bulky clothing.
