The dry compartment is perfect for those damp clothes. Small compartments keep items organized.

A little heavy and hard to get in the top pouch. Very comfortable and feels well built. Great pack for a weekend adventure!

Great look and feel. An alternate to top down entry in main compartment would make it more useful for casural adventure, perhaps less so for the techie using for skiing, climbing. Value is there either way.

There are a LOT of buckles on these things, I got one for me and one for the beau to use - and the back system keeps the weight of the pack off you, so you do not sweat and have a wet are under the pack, the hip belt and shoulder straps are comfortable for me, though the chest clip is NOT, but the beau is a bit constricted by them, we both got L frame, but they are tall and narrow. DID I MENTION that there are a TON OF plastic buckles on these things??? HAHAH red and grey are pretty combo.

This is a great pack especially at anything below $100. Water pack is sort of a tight fit when trying to reinsert, but considering how much this pack holds, it is worth it. Be sure to know your torso measurements when ordering med. or large. I am a large but not sure I would have worn a medium better. Several ways to make fit adjustments, but felt the large rode a little too high. Seems like good quality.

I've had several Camelbak packs and they've always been lacking when it comes to hiking. This pack however comes very close to being what many hikers need. There is a very good amount of storage space and well organized. It is however rather difficult to get a full 100 oz water bladder back into it storage pocket (helps a little to take out the aluminum support rod). I've had it out now 5 times in the Adirondacks (NY) and I'm satisfied with its performance.

I love it so far. The DVIS system is great. The back sweat isn't nearly as bad. Lots of pocket space. I'll be using it all summer for 7-8 hour days in the back country collecting data so I'll probably have more to say about it in a few months. I've taken it on some 4-5 mile hikes since I got it and no complaints. Our local sporting goods store sells it at retail value. If you get it here with a promo it's a steal.
