    I bought these so I could tie both my kayaks to my van roof. I have used them & they worked well. My only wish is I got a longer length 96+". I had to use these to tie on the narrow part of the kayak & an older pair of straps[longer length] to the wider part of each boat. They function well & recommend them to others. I am happy w/ my purchase.The Nylon protective webbing allows a non-scratch surface to secure your boat
