I read the reviews and was skeptical, but I've been wanting a light color short for our HOT summers and had to try them. I went to Campi's website for size info and decided I'd try the MED even though I "should" be a Large. The Medium is perfect and may even end up big by mid-summer (those Lbs from not riding as hard through the winter) The waist is on the high side but not restrictive, never felt it on the bike. Standing off bike the length seemed very long, just an inch or two above my knee. Once I was on the bike they settled into that sweet spot mid-thigh. (I also fold the leg grippers up, don't like the feel of sweaty silicone) When trying these on I did wonder about the chamois position, but it was perfection on the bike. Maiden voyage was a 27+ mile ride, the only negative I experienced was being cold for the first 9 miles, and that was because these shorts are Cool Max, and it was still 45. By the end of our 11/2 hour ride it was 60+ and I was happy to have the cooling. My girl friends commented on how nice the shorts looked, as did my husband. And I am happy to report no see thru on these white shorts. (If you are a natural brunette or darker these shorts may require more aggressive bikini waxing) They also washed very well, I still have ALL my red stripes, and dried lickety split! I am considering another pair, and I feel they are worth the price.

I read all the reviews, went to the Campagnolo website, and read some consumer reviews before I ordered these. Campi size chart says I should wear a Large, but decided I'd try the Medium, I think I could pull off a Small(especially since I'm training again) I bought the White shorts, I know that's brave, but I just crave a light color short for our impending heat. They were really long for the off bike try on (sat just above my knee,I'm 5'3",135# and I'm built for comfort vs speed) The fabric is soft and feels amazing against the skin (like PI's P.R.O. shorts) didn't think they were going to give much compressing though, and the waist felt a bit high to me. I even questioned whether the Chamois was positioned well, it seemed short at the front. I considered returning them, but decided to wear them on a 28 mile weekly training ride before work. Temps were 48 at start and 65 by the end of the 11/2 hrs on the bike. The fabric is Very wicking and cooling (I was COLD till we started climbing, they will be great in the summer) Once on the bike the length was fine (I fold the leg grippers up - dislike the sweaty silicone grips on my legs) with movement they were the perfect length (about 4" above knee and I have a long Femur) the Chamois was just right too, no hot spots, chafing or excess pressure. And, according to my friends no see-through front or back. They washed up well (I use WIN) and I still have ALL my red stripes. As my husband put it "Campi doesn't make junk", and I would have to agree. They are very comfortable, I will keep th Mediums and add a pair in Small.

I didn't have any of the issues other reviewers did. I've washed them at least four times now and the decal and leg grippers are in tact. I also NEVER put my cycling clothes in the dryer. There's a nice mesh type feature at the inner thigh where the cloth can tend to rub the seat and get worn. They are on the longer side for bike shorts, but I prefer that. I am 5'5" and got the medium.

I had Pearl E, Descente, Castelli, craft shorts [small size]. The length seems proper either above the knee or mid-thigh, but this one, it is kinda long touching my knee and of course seam does not fit well around the thigh. I am 5.3/116lbs and wear size small. Just figure out yourself before you get the short. Other than this, it fits fine. I guess for you girls with longer legs may work.

These shorts appeared great at first, but when I tried them on the bottom leg grippers were stretched out so that the bottom of the shorts were way too loose, almost like a hoop bottom. Unuseable and returned.
