Campagnolo Racing Cycling Shorts - UPF 50+ (For Women)

Planning a century in October and I think these are the ones to wear! Other shorts I have chafe starting at 20 miles. None with these. My only small quibble is that they look a bit like a girdle with the grey banding.

I wouldn't normally purchase such expensive cycling shorts but these were on sale which made it worth it! So far I have only been able to wear them to spinning class, but they were comfy throughout that ride. I bought the XS based on other reviews even though I usually buy a small; the XS is perfect. Not tight, not binding. They are a bit on the longer side, but even at only 5'4" they aren't too long. Can't wait to wear them on the road!!

I purchased these shorts for my wife, in part because she's had trouble finding cycling shorts that fit. These shorts fit her perfectly (the best of anything she's tried), look great, and she loves them (for sizing, we looked up the Campagnolo website and used the sizing chart there, focusing on the hip measurement). Given the mixed sizing comments in the other reviews, it might be good to explain some (slightly unusual) things about these shorts: Campy has a number of apparel lines, and their top-of-the-line "Racing" series is specifically cut for people who are active road bike racers (or are shaped like them); for these shorts that means the legs are relatively long and full compared to the hip measurement. Furthermore the material used here is "compression" lycra, which paradoxically is LESS elastic than the lycra used in conventional cycling shorts; hence the shorts will not easily adjust to physiques very different from what the designers had in mind. That being said, if the legs don't end up being too long & full for you, these shorts are cut & fit beautifully, particularly if you ride in a "road bike" position (note: my wife isn't a cycle racer, but is long-limbed relative to her hip & waist). And as with all Campagnolo apparel, the material & construction quality / attention to detail is top-notch (but handwash cold & hang dry if you want to preserve everything!).

great fit, great chamois. good wicking and evaporation for summer, good wicking for winter. i reliably take a medium in other shorts, these seem true to size.

I LOVE these shorts but they do run big. I am 5'4" and 125lbs and wear an XS. I have them in white & black. They do sit high on the waist and long in the leg but feel fantastic. Campy makes my favorite pad and I ALWAYS ride a century in these shorts. The matching shirts are awesome as well. The red racing stripes do crack & rub off over time but all of my shorts (except Assos) have had the same issue. I wash them inside out in a mesh bag and air dry only. I hope Sierra Trading post continues to carry them at this GREAT price for years to come!!!

Very good quality. A little big in hip for a small size. I normal wear a size 4.

The red stripes did come off in the first wash, as others have commented, but the shorts are comfortable in 92 degree weather. I've only worn them once, on a 25 mile ride and the padding was adequate. I am 5'8" and 130 pounds and the medium fits well. I prefer shorts a little longer for maximum compression and these ride about 3 inches above my knees, not as long as some but ok.

Good quality shorts. I would normally wear a med but they were too big. The small fits just right and although I have only riden them twice, I see they will be in the regular "short rotation"

I made the mistake of buying these in white. I'm a brunette and this was sharin a little too much information with everyone else, if you know what I mean. These were see through- and I dont want to have to get a brazilian to wear cycling shorts. Stick with the black.

Reviews about wide leg grippers are true - if you are a skinny leg chic, this is not your short. But if you have full thighs like lots of great cyclists then you will comfortably fill the leg grippers and not feel squeezed by them.
