Canada Goose Dorval Anorak Jacket - Waterproof, Stretch (For Men)

This is a great jacket from the non-insulated collection of CG - schoeller c_change membrane, and the stretchy WB-400 soft shell exterior. The jacket fits and feels great, snug but not too tight. The zippers are very waterproof. My only gripe is that the hand warmer pockets have no zippers on them but I don't think that even when using this jacket for skiing in deep pow, the snow would get in as the pockets have a flap quite effectively covering the opening. The length is great, not too long not too short. I have previously purchased the Tofino bomber jacket from CG, which is a very similar piece, but was disappointed with the external material (not stretchy at all and quite movement-limiting) and the short cut. This is jacket is definitely better in many regards and looks great whether walking around town or skiing (though the hood does not fit over a ski helmet).

The combination of Schoeller fabrics/technology is what drew me to this coat and they are exceptional; WB400 stretch fabric, C_Change and 3XDry coupled with the Riri aquazips are in sum amazing and they all perform as advertised. Meaning the jacket really is breathable, wind and waterproof while also being comfortable. It basically is a softshell without a fleece lined interior and the markings of an "extreme alpine" jacket. The cons are mostly due to my body type being 6'2", 165lbs with a 36" inseam and sleeve and 31" waist. So stuff tends to be what I consider "short and baggy". Things I would change are a supported brim in the hood along with a bit more length to the hood and sleeves and zips on the hand pockets. Beyond that the jacket's craftsmanship and usability are phenomenal.
