These were my first bike shorts, so take that into consideration. I bought them upon discovering that my tri shorts just didn't have enough padding for rides over 20-25 miles.
The extra padding was definitely more comfortable on my sit bones, but the crotch area is terrible! The chamois goes up way too high on both the front and back. It seems like they used the same chamois in all sizes (and I got a small).
There is a nice hollowed-out place in the chamois, but that sits more over my butt and not over my crotch, leaving my sensitive area to be painfully squished by what should be peripheral padding. My bum feels great, but the more delicate parts of my crotch are now sore for the rest of the day after just 1 hour in the saddle--a problem I don't have until 90 minutes with tri shorts. My guess is that the chamois would fit a larger lady comfortably, but not someone who wears a size 2.

STP was out of my normal size M (I wear a size 8), so I took a chance and ordered a size up. Fit was perfect, snug enough everywhere and not too tight anywhere. A Medium would have been too snug! Good quality and a bonus of a nice quality floral design. Wore them for a long fall ride in the country and the padding was secure and comfortable.

I have always bought the biking shorts with the baggy outter shorts. This is the first pair of "regular" bike shorts I've bought. I like the way they fit. Length of the legs are nice. I am tall and don't like short shorts. Seven inches seems to be just right. Only problem is the name is coming off after only 2 washes. After seeing mine, two other friends bought them also.
