    Runs small in the waist. I returned and re ordered a medium which fit at the waist but are baggy on the hips. I am 5'1" with a thicker waist but I don't have any hips.

    Being a recreational cyclist who's not in the best of shape, I just wanted the padding of cycling shorts without the "out-there" display of standard bike shorts. These are NOT the answer! They're INCREDIBLY baggy - WAY too much so. And they're MUCH longer than the stated 5.5 inches. I haven't returned them because 1)I hate returning things; and 2)I think I may have just enough skill to alter them to the point where they're wearable (although I'm only a casual tailor, not a sewing fiend). I won't give up on them yet but if you're not into sewing, DO NOT BUY THEM. Without alteration, they're utterly ridiculous & unwearable.

    Ride 16-30 miles a day. The cushion is very comfortable. I love the material, but the liner is shorter than the outer shell and it creeps up when you ride. The stay put hem isn't so stay put.

    I mostly bike to commute to work, it is a 24 mi round trip. I have never used biking shorts but found increasing discomfort as I have gotten older, which doesn't make sense since I have acquired more natural padding over the years. I decided it was time to try biking shorts but disliked the tight Lycra look as I am 54 years old, These are great a little of a diaper feeling till you get used to the padding, I took the advice of others and ordered a size up as it says they run small, normally I would order a medium and I got a large, I could use a size halfway between the two, but this works fine, they are comfortable, however, not the most flattering, but not to bad either. They have two side pockets and they are kind of shallow, I wished they were bigger.
