These gloves appear reasonably well-made, but the pad location is completely wrong for riding on the hoods - which is about 90% of my riding position. There is a larger-than-normal gap between the pad that is near the wrist/thumb and the one at the outside base of your fifth metacarpal. The design somehow succeeds in providing absolutely no padding if you ride on the hoods. It was obvious they wouldn't work (admittedly, I did not use them on a ride) and I returned them. Unless you do most of your riding with your hands placed between the stem and the bend, I don't think the padding placement will work for you either.

I recently bought a couple new pair of these gloves after wearing out two previous pair that lasted for a couple of years. I'm no expert on bike riding gear--I ride an average of 75 miles a week on trails and streets through Punta Gorda, Florida. I bought these because of their gel padding--and frankly, because of their reasonable price. With my extra 25% discount (on purchases of $75 or more), the gloves cost me around $12. That seems fair for what I got.
