Good deal for the price

I needed a good wind jacket for the fall/winter (with layers) cycling season, but as I am continuing to shrink in size, I wouldn't pay over $50 for something that I'll only use one season.

I have had great luck with the Canari brand before, so with some bonus sales at STP, I went for it - and just in time as fall has landed with a slap in MN.

The windproofing on the jacket is adequate, I love the covered zipper so no air gets in that way. The color comes up high enough w/o chaffing along the neck. Of course, the jacket provides no warmth, so layering is still very important, and with the wrong layers, you'll find youself in a sweat bath.

The jacket has kept me dry in steady downpours (a medium rain, I'd call it) and the longer back has kept the rain from trickling down the rear too badly.

My only complaint, which I was aware of when I ordered, is that there are no pockets. Oh, there is the stuff pocket on the back, but I typically stick things in pockets when I get off the bike (the removable lights, my gloves, etc) from a morning commute. Regarding the stuff pocket, I hate the attached belt. If you were on a long ride w/ no saddle bags, pannier, then it makes sense: take off the jacket, stuff in its pocket and attach like a fanny pack. As I use saddle bags and/or panniers every time I ride, these belt straps just annoy me.

Overall, I will buy again if I am still not to goal weight the next time I need a new jacket. I would also recommend to a friend
