Got this as a gift for a runner. Can't say how they'll work, but at least they fit him. He's a normal/big guy, age 16, about 6 ft. tall. I hope they work for him as mostly they seem to be for cyclists.

These work great & true to size, I ordered the same size as my jersey, great for sleeveless jerseys, put them on to start and when you warm up pull them off and store in jersey pocket, wick well, warm despite thin material , feel like compression sleeves, don't bunch up in aero bars ... Love them ... Got the glow in the dark yellow, very bright great visibility !!!

This was a gift but I have had these for a year or so and use them often. You leave and its cold - but it warms quickly. So you can easily remove these - or push to your wrists. While I use them primarly biking I have taken them hiking - where I wear them under a shell till it warms up.
Question
“I am looking for UV protection more than warming since I run and ride in the desert at high temps.. Are these cool enough to run at high temps? Is there a better kind for this?”

Question
“How does one determine what size arm warmers to buy? What does that measurement refer to? (I am a female, 5'7", average weight, with arms slightly longer than average.)”

Answer
Order the same size as the jersey you wear, or one size larger for more coverage. they are elastic enough to grab any arm diameter and the silicon grip tape does the job of keeping them up.

Answer
i read on the packaging (but its not listed on the website!) that you should order a size smaller than your jersey size. that seems right to me- i ordered the small (my jersey size) and they were too big, i would have needed the xs.
