The fit is good, I'm a solid medium (8 to 10) and the medium was spot-on, although the four-panel construction lacks the comfort of a six-panel cycling pant. If, like I do, you want your cycling bottoms to cover your belly button and provide better bend-over coverage in back (more of the "old-school" bike short design, and very hard to find these days), you will like these. I don't care for the shiny fabric, prefer more matte finished. Chamois seems fine for short to medium rides. A decent buy, and I liked the rise and back coverage - but the "shine" and four-panel design just not what I was looking for.

I ordered this particular pair precisely because I prefer capris over shorts when I cycle outside, and I had never found capris with padding until now. Plus, I have a hard time spending lost of money on clothes that will be destroyed by sweat, sunscreen, and high usage. But back to the pants: not only are they ridiculously high-waisted, the padding is a little stiff, so that took a little getting used to. In the end, I rolled the waistband down, chose a jersey that covers the top of the pants, and wore them for a 54-mile bike ride, no problem. Overall they are not the most stylish pair of capris you will find, but they're worth it.
