Canari Tri Cycling Shorts (For Women)

I only ride less than 20 miles, so I can't attest to how they feel on longer rides. They say up front that the pad is minimal, so cannot complain about that. But turns out the minimal pad is fine for me. I really like them.

The overall sizing feels at least a half size too small and the leg hems are very tight but they definitely stay put. For cycling only, more padding would be helpful but for the swimming and running parts of the tri, this works fine.

on the short side but the leg grips keep them from riding up. Even though there's not much padding, they were more comfortable than I expected.

I prefer more comfort in the saddle so the minimal padding isn't going to cut it for my rides.

Using these shorts for my triathlons

They've been great in the pool and biking... haven't tried running in them yet.

I don't know what it is about biking shorts. I have some decent quad muscles for a woman, and every pair of cycling shorts is TIGHT on the bottom elastic bands that go around the legs. So these shorts are a bit more comfortable than others I have tried.

First, the pros. This short fits well, dries quickly, and looks good. It is a classic tri short, so it's not heavily padded. This is typical of tri shorts because they're made to dry quickly, and the smaller pad is compromise between cushioning and fast-drying. However, the problem with this short is that the small chamois pad is really poorly placed. The pad doesn't extend far enough in the back and the result is that you end up sitting on the seams. This is really uncomfortable. I'll run in these shorts, but biking for more than an hour is too painful.

I'm just starting out in triathlons and these have been great so far. The padding is thin but it still does a great job. They dry quick after the swim, give enough padding on the bike leg, and don't feel bulky on the run. They are great for sprint distance tri's but more padding may be required for an ironman distance. The only con I can think of is that they are a little tight in the inner thigh area. I've only washed them once so I'm not sure how the seams will hold up.

Can be used to ride outdoors or indoor spinning classes because the padding is such that you don't feel like you are walking around the gym in a diaper.
