    The padding is minimal and appears to be just a piece of fleece. Not extremely comfortable for a long ride -- which is what I got them for. These are more suited to shorter rides... around 10 miles or so. Nothing more.

    I am bigger than most cyclists, a true Clydesdale at 6', 260 lbs (all muscle, of course). Most of my bike shorts fit me like compression shorts. These (size XXL) are luxuriously roomy by comparison. I need to buy a few more.

    My concern with this model, which I probably would have caught had I bought it in a store instead of mail order, is that the chamois/saddle cushion is too thick and too stiff, so it chafes along the edge of the chamois and never fits quite right.

    I got these for my husband to ride in, he was complaining about being sore. He is very happy with them. On his very first ride wearing them, he said they helped a lot. He has no "natural" padding and these did the trick. No more riding without them. He did say he felt like he had a diaper on when he first put them on. After using them he was happy they had that much padding. THey wash well in the gentle cycle and dry super fast.

    sizing- bike shorts are desired to be snug and fit. all other shorts orders have been for XL at 36. these were waaay big. re-ordered L expecting a good fit. only tried product temporarily around the house for a fit.
