“Exactly what I wanted”

“I missed several opportunities to acquire one of these jackets over the last several years. It was my good fortune that it was available as a 2nd at a substantially reduced price. The blemish is minor and in no way compromises the function or utility of the coat. I especially like the integral hood of this jacket. I find hoods to be a useful component of a coat/jacket in chilly weather. It is disappointing that Carhartt has chosen to move so much of their production away from the U.S., but I must admit that thier standards of quality have not changed from what I remember from over 30 years ago. The only negative comment I will make about this garment is about the zipper. I think Carhartt needs to consider changing to a nylon version or a slightly larger toothed brass zipper. The zipper on this jacket is a little stiff at times but I have not yet lubricated it which should abate the problem.”
