    These shorts are awesome! The canvas is durable and washes well but is still soft and breathable. I did order a size up as recommended and they fit great. Plenty of pockets without looking too masculine.

    Buy this short from Sierra with full confidence if your body type demands a smaller waist in comparison to hips and if you need a sturdy and protective short for 60-115 degree temperatures. I have never noticed any flaws in the shorts I have received from Sierra and I have never noticed any sizing differences between pairs. I am 5'4 and 117 lbs. I order size 4. Size 4 is a post-wash/dry 28" waist,upper thigh of 41". Waist fits halfway between smallest natural waist and hip bone. Perfect for bending. Inseam of short is 8". Unlike most cotton items, shorts will not shrink further after minimal shrink after first hot wash/hot dry.
