I wear a size 6 and they are quite snug and rid up some. The only time they become uncomfortable is when I sqwat down, the band digs into my stomach and I since I am constantly bending over sqwatting at work, it's unpleasant. On the upside, they are perfect for my line of work, at the local Garden Center. I always carry multiple tools, a portable phone and pen and paper. The cargo style allows me to store and access them easily. In addition to lots of storage space, the fabric feels great. Durable but yet light weight and soft. They are awesomely breathable, keeping me cool when I'm running around on a hot summers' day. I will continue wearing them for sure but In the future I do plan on trying the next size up and i rrecommend you do the same. It would be nice if Carharrt would make them a little truer to their supposed size,considering that another pair of size 6 shorts made by Carharrt are a little loose. With all that said, Carharrt makes some great stuff. I will continue to order Carharrt apparrel.

I purchased them to wear during gardening and landscaping work, but have found myself wearing them camping as well! Lots of great pockets and comfortable! Not lightweight but that's Carhartt. Also I'd recommend selecting normal sizing, I went with the next size bigger and wish I hadn't.
